Community Impact: Gender Based Violence Prevention

Cincinnati, OH – The Clifton Heights Music Festival (CHMF) is dedicated to ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all attendees. In partnership with the University of Cincinnati and University of Cincinnati Student Government, we are implementing comprehensive gender-based violence prevention (GBVP) training across all festival venues. This initiative includes the introduction of the Angel Shot program, a discreet method for patrons to signal for help if they feel unsafe.
Venues that complete the GBVP training will display a special window decal to signify their commitment to safety. These measures aim to create a safer, more inclusive festival experience while standardizing the assistance available to all festival-goers across Clifton Heights. The Angel Shot program empowers patrons to discreetly seek help from venue staff, ensuring swift and effective responses to unsafe situations.
By standardizing these safety protocols, CHMF is emphasizing festival safety, promoting an environment where everyone can enjoy the festivities with confidence. This initiative is part of CHMF’s broader commitment to community well-being and inclusivity.
